Truth and Acceptability – Questions

1. Give an example of each of the following;
(a) An a priori truth.
(b) An a priori falsehood.
(c) An a posteriori truth.
(d) An a posteriori falsehood.
2. Create a brief argument (or find one from elsewhere) and describe two different contexts in which the argument could be put forward, where the premises are acceptable in one context but not in the other.
3. Describe how and why an atheist would use a premise such as “All religions are true” in an argument. What is this called?
4. Create an argument that begs the question. Try to make it not entirely obvious!
